Your ovaries are two almond-sized organs located on either side of your uterus that release eggs and produce hormones. Sometimes, a pocket of fluid called a cyst forms on the surface or inside one of these organs.
The term "unspecified" simply means that when a doctor looks at the cyst through imaging, it doesn't have the typical appearance of common cysts that come and go with your monthly cycle. These are often discovered during a routine checkup even if they aren't causing any trouble at all.
Common Symptoms
- A dull or sharp aching sensation in the lower belly or pelvis.
